Abstract

Objective: This research was conducted in order to identify traditional methods that women use for labor and factors affecting them.Method: This research was conducted with 316 women who gave birth vaginally in the postpartum service of a public hospital in the eastern part of Turkey. The data is collected with participant information forms prepared by the researcher. For statistical analysis, percentage, average, Independent Samples t-test, Kruskal Wallis, and One-way ANOVA tests were used.Results: In the research, it was found that all women used at least one traditional method for labor, and the number of traditional methods used for labor is 2.52±1.18 on the average.
