Abstract

In this article we present a conceptual controversy concerning the metaphysics of Aristotle. Pierre Aubenque defends an aporetical interpretation that refuses the presence of the doctrine of the nalogy in the Aristotelic texts. According to Aubenque, Aristotle is trying to unify the physics and the metaphysics, but fails in his attempt, causing le probleme de l’etre. The swiss professor Andre de Muralt organizes the Aristotelic metaphysics around the analogy of being, conceived as a methodological procedure. According to Muralt, Aristotle is the maker of the invention du discours metaphysique, a systematic structure that provides the themes, concepts and great lines of the western thought.
