Abstract

In Japan, there are two main launch vehicle development activities. One is the development of the M launch vehicle series, a solid propellant rocket, by the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science for scientific missions. The other is a development program of large-size liquid propellant launch vehicles for practical satellite launch by the National Space Development Agency of Japan.
