Abstract

The low-energy satellites of K beta 1.3 lines of metallic V, Cr, Mn, and Fe have been measured. The spectra are interpreted in terms of K to M2 radiative Auger (RA) effect since the energies of the satellite edges are in accordance with Auger electron observation, the total intensities compare with theoretical RA shake-off calculation, and the general shape of the spectra is similar to the shake-off electron distribution observed directly.
