Abstract

This study is to analyze the resistance consciousness of K-Pop idol music and to present the future development direction by recognizing its value as a popular culture art with social message rather than just consumed goods. First, 125 songs with resistance consciousness were selected among all the songs of 48 major idol singers, and the changes in material and emotional expression were divided into the past 90s and the present into 2010s and then compared and analyzed. As a result, in the 90s, the national category of resistance consciousness was mainly used as a material, but in the 2010s, it was characterized by the change of most of them into personal categories. In addition, the negative emotional expression was mainly used in the 90s, but in the 2010s it changed into a positive form, which made a clear contrast to the 90s. On the other hand, it was found that the main object of resistance common in the past and present is the older generation. Through this study, idol singers will be able to recognize their influence on music and deliver messages steadily, which will lead to the change of the right social consciousness to the public. In addition, I hope that it will be used in the study of students' emotions in secondary education and I hope that academic research on the messages they want to convey will be more diversified and expanded in the future.
