Abstract

A bubble chamber experiment is described in which observations were made of positive kaon interactions in deuterium. Partial cross sections are given at 13 kaon momenta in the range 0.64–1.51 GeV/ c. The computation of the free-neutron partial inelastic cross sections is discussed. From these results and from previously measured K +p data the (K +N) I=0 partial cross sections are derived.
