Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers’ perceptions of the integration of digital games for K-12 education. Specifically, this qualitative investigation focuses on reflective dialogued gathered from a group of K-12 educators about their experiences and perceptions of learning about and playing digital games for teaching and learning. Reflections consist of teachers' experiences as game players with both commercial and educational games and their perceptions about the potential value of using digital games for learning. The goal of this research is to investigate teachers' perceptions and insight into the potential of digital games for teaching and learning to gain insight into methods for integrating digital games in K12 education.
