Abstract

The first editorial change for the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR) was nearly seamless. This development should come as no surprise, as the new Editor, Daniel Picus, MD (Fig 1), had been the Deputy Editor for the Journal since its inception. An editorial in his first issue (July–August 1995) (1) aptly laid out for the readership the goals for his tenure as the second JVIR Editor:The first is to make JVIR the most widely recognized forum for original scientific publications in our specialty.
