Abstract

Background: Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF), a benign fibro-osseous neoplasm, is considered an aggressive form of central ossifying fibroma. JOF has an early age of onset, a high recurrence rate, and a destructive effect over the cortical bone that causes severe morphological and functional changes.
