Abstract
The authors in the presented article consider various types of transportation of MSW (solid municipal waste) from the Moscow region of the Russian Federation by different modes of transport, using different types of railway rolling stock. Calculations of technical indicators of the transportation process are presented. The article analyzes the data obtained by calculation. The authors substantiate the most rational option in technical, technological, operational, economic and environmental format for choosing railway rolling stock for the transportation of MSW and KGM (large-sized garbage) within the country.
