Abstract
北部北上山地には北部北上帯に属するジュラ紀付加体が広く分布している．北部北上帯は西側の葛巻－釜石亜帯と東側の安家－田野畑亜帯に細区分され，この区分は北方の西南北海道渡島帯にも適用可能である．北部北上帯は北方の極東ロシアのタウハ帯－渡島帯と南方の西南日本北部秩父帯・南部秩父帯をつなぐ重要な位置にある．この見学コースでは，最近の研究で付加体を構成する海洋プレート層序の詳細が明らかにされつつある，安家－久慈地域の北部北上帯ジュラ紀付加体の岩相・層序を観察する．
