Abstract
This article discusses the work of the Swiss psychoanalyst and psychotherapist C. G. Jung in the light of his contact with various Swiss intellectuals in an effort to shed new light on his stature as a major thinker within a specific national context. Using documents from two Swiss archives — the Jung-Archiv in the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zurich and the Handschriftenabteilung of the Zentralbibliothek Zürich, the article examines Jung’s contacts with Magdalena Aebi, Hans Bluntschli, Emil Ermatinger, Robert Faesi, and Jakob Schoch.
