Abstract

The June yellows of strawberries is a spontaneous variegation which occurs only in certain clones. The change from normal to variegated is confirmed as a genetic one. It appears that variation in severity of the variegation of a plant is accompanied by variation in the transmission of variegation to seedlings, and that green plants vary genetically also.
