Abstract

The present paper deals with the rights available to prisoners from affluent backgrounds are not necessarily afforded to those from impoverished sections of society. The definition of inmates, their rights, human rights, and constitutional rights of the Prisoners are all examined in this paper. It also looks at the Supreme Court judgements pertaining to inmates' rights.
