Abstract
Cancer screening and treatment have been greatly affected by COVID-19. Regarding cancer screening, the number of examinees decreased, especially from April to May 2020, due to the notifications from Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and academic societies. Similar trends have been reported from other countries. In the MHLW research “Research for elucidating changes in the status of cancer screening, treatment and health effect due to COVID-19 ”, status and effect for cancer screening and treatment are investigated.
