Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we investigate resource allocation issue in a multiuser OFDM cellular network. Each user in the network intends to obtain a higher rate from the BS for its own data transmission (e.g., pictures or videos downloading), but the total transmission resource is limited at the BS. Thus, we formulated this resource allocation problem as an auction game, where the BS acts as the auctioneer and the users are the bidders. We then propose a novel joint subcarrier and power allocation algorithm using distributed auction game, in order to allocate the limited subcarriers and power effectively and maximize the total transmission rate subject to an overall power constraint with low-complexity and fairness. Finally, simulation results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed auction-based algorithm.KeywordsPower AllocationChannel State InformationPower ConstraintReserve PricePower Allocation AlgorithmThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
