Abstract

The report presents the results of a number of experiments conducted by the staff of the NRU "MPEI" and FSUE "VNIIFTRI" to analyze the conditions of "seamless" navigation in the absence or use of GNSS signals, indoors or outdoors, as well as in transitional conditions. The results of the experiments have shown that the maximum distance between transceivers of UWB LNS, at which a reliable exchange of information in urban conditions is ensured, does not exceed 100 meters. Joint processing of UWB LNS and GNSS signals potentially makes it possible to achieve "seamless" navigation in urban environments with an error of no more than 1 m (RMS) in determining relative coordinates.
