Abstract
For the oil and gas exploration and development, the AVA attributes analysis is an important interpretation method for lithology and hydrocarbon prediction. However, the accuracy of the result is a challenging problem. In this paper, we carry out a study on joint PP and PS waves AVA attributes analysis and hydrocarbon prediction. We firstly bring in a new fluid indicator based on Erho that improves the sensitivity to hydrocarbons of the commonly used attributes than miurho. Then, we construct a joint PP and PS waves AVA attributes equation ,and implement joint PP and PS waves two-term inversion by the SVD method. Numerical tests show that the AVA attributes extracted from joint PP and PS waves are better than those extracted from only PP waves in the aspects of accuracy and effectiveness of hydrocarbon indication. So the proposed fluid indicators can be applied in the prediction of lithology and hydrocarbon.
