Abstract

We have already proposed the optimal receiver system based on an array antenna for DS/CDMA (direct sequence code division multiple access). In this paper, we propose an optimal multiuser system based on spatial and temporal equalization in both transmitter and receiver using adaptive array antennas for DS/CDMA. If we assume a two-way interactive communication such as time or frequency division duplex (TDD/FDD), the signal distortion due to ISI (intersymbol interference) and CCI (co-channel interference) will be reduced not only in the receiver side but also in the transmitter side by using precoding or partial response signaling (PRS). Computer simulations show the improvement of BER in the proposed system.
