Abstract
We compare two processes (resonance enhancement and quasi-phase-matching) allowing the enhancement of the high-order harmonics of ultrashort pulses during propagation through different laser-induced plasmas (vanadium, antimony, indium, and manganese). We show how the tuning of maximally enhanced harmonics during quasi-phase-matching in multi-jet plasmas can enhance the resonantly-enhanced harmonics. Theoretical calculations support experimentally observed quasi-phase-matching of a group of harmonics and single harmonic enhancement.
