Abstract

In this paper, the Minimizing the Schedule Length in Multichannel Multihop Cognitive radio network (MSL-MMC) problem is first introduced and then a new mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP) formulation is presented for the MSL-MMC problem based on the joint link scheduling and power control on each channel. In addition, due to the need of protecting the primary users in cognitive radio system, a heuristic algorithm that integrates link scheduling, power control and channel allocation is presented to solve the MSL-MMC problem. This new algorithm is improved from a classical algorithm in traditional single channel multihop wireless network. Numerical results show that compared with the original algorithm, the new algorithm can obviously enhance system throughput and reduce the schedule length in Multichannel Multihop Cognitive radio network.
