Abstract

The joint design of transmitted waveforms and mismatch filters for radar is an effective means of suppressing interrupted sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ). In this study, the principle of an orthogonal waveform group against ISRJ is investigated, and the Lagrange multiplier method and the least weighted squares method are used to design a mismatch filter. The correlation function between the mismatch filter and the waveform is used as the fitness function of the genetic algorithm (GA) to realise synchronous joint design of the transmitted waveform and the mismatch filter. The simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the transmitted waveform and mismatch filter obtained using the proposed method is better than that of existing joint design algorithms; also, the solution is obtained speedily, and the detection performance and anti-jamming ability of the radar are stronger.
