Abstract

Spinel type ferrite, Cu-substituted Ni-Zn ferrite is examined to join directly with ilmenite type titanates, FeTiO3, CoTiO3 and NiTiO3 by a hot-pressing technique. The most effective factors in direct joining of different materials are considered. Successful joining is achieved for a combination of the ferrite with NiTiO3 under a hot pressing condition of 1200°C, 200 kg/cm2, air and 2 hr. The joined material may be usefully applied to substrates for electronic microcircuits.
