Dr. Joe R. Brown, a founding member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), died on October 30, 2004, in Rochester, MN. Dr. Brown was born in Mount Pleasant, IA, on November 11, 1911. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA degree in 1933, and he received his MD degree from the University of Iowa Medical School in 1937.
