Abstract

A mixed methods strategy in this study explored the influence of trainees’ attitudes and expectations on training satisfaction in a case of job training in the public sector in Saudi Arabia. These relationships were mediated by the influence of the cultural impact of religion, social, employment, education, and economy. Employees from a specific public organisation were the participants of this study after finishing a training course in an external academic training department. The results showed the importance of trainees’ attitudes toward job commitment, work support, self-efficacy, and learning motivation in training satisfaction. Trainees’ expectations about job training also played a significant role in training satisfaction.
