Abstract
The November 1985 issue of the Journal of Geophysical Research‐Oceans has been designated a special color issue. Several papers on sea surface temperature comparisons will be published with color pictures. Because of the volume of material being published, the cost to authors for color graphics will be less than normal. Scientists wishing to include color illustrations in papers for JGR‐Oceans are encouraged to submit their manuscripts soon. James J. O'Brien, editor, JGROceans, indicates that every effort will be made to ensure fast review and technical editing for any paper submitted by May 15, 1985.
