Abstract
The rst to the Russian fauna record of the jewel beetle Anthaxia ( Cratomerus ) scorzonerae (Frivaldszky, 1837) (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) from Volgograd Province and its comparison with the closely related A. ( C. ). diadema (Fischer von Waldheim, 1824) are presente d. The images of both species with photographs of the biotopes and map of locations of A. scorzonerae in Volgograd Province are given.
