Abstract

In the 20th century while Thomas Aquinas was being rediscovered, the work of scholars such as Marie-Dominique Chenu and Etienne Gilson, Bernard Lonergan and Yves Congar explored the Middle Ages which expanded our knowledge of the theological depths of Aquinas. Since the 700th anniversary (1974) of Aquinas's death, an abundance of studies have appeared. Torrell's Initiation a saint Thomas d'Aquin, is a kind of crown to all this research in the past century. Torrell has written other valuable studies on Aquinas; the goal of this note is to make known the breadth of Torrell's writings on Aquinas, few of which are translated into English.
