JCD September Editorial.

Abstract

Welcome to the September 2022 issue of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. JCD wants to thank each of you for helping to make us one of the premier journals in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. It has been exciting and humbling to have embarked on this journey, taking the helm of a journal and seeing it grow over these past 5 years. JDC thanks you, the researchers, and authors of the papers, we thank the associate editors, and we thank the countless reviewers who have helped make this journal special. The next phase of JCD is coming, and we are all excited about what lies ahead. Wiley, our publisher, and their counterpart, Hindawi, have agreed to put the journal into the Hindawi hands beginning in 2023. What does that change mean for all of us? First and foremost, the Hindawi model is to have all the articles Open Access, which is a significant change for many of us moving forward. The second thing with the Hindawi move is that we anticipate faster review and publishing times for those articles that are accepted for publication. Third, our team is not going anywhere, and will continue to oversee the journal and the content. We assure you that the quality of JCD remains high and will hopefully reaches new heights with the changes. If you have any questions during the transition or throughout the entire submission and review process, please let us know, and we will be here to get you the appropriate answers. JCD has and will continue to flourish—the cosmetic dermatology industry is succeeding worldwide with new innovations and new products constantly coming to the market. We have demanded that peer-reviewed science be part and parcel to these new developments and JCD is serving as a “home” to these new innovations we are seeing. JDC wants to continue this in the future, so please continue the great science that we are seeing, and please continue to use JCD as a resource to publish these outstanding articles. Thank you again for all you do for JCD and for making it the distinguished journal it has become.
