Abstract

Welcome to the August 2022 issue of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. As we move through summertime in the United States, we still cannot wrap our heads around what has been the strangest of all strange past two and a half years. We hope that everyone remains safe, vaccinated, and boosted where appropriate and that everyone in your inner circles and families are maintaining their health. It has been interesting to watch how this crazy virus has passed itself around, mutated when it needs to mutate, and continues to infect countless people on a daily basis. We all know that we need to “get back” to our “normal” and I am so hopeful that we can without reverting to the very dark days of complete lockdowns and closures—even though in some corners of the world, this is still a reality. Most of the rest of the world is opening back up—and that is good—but please still remember that we are not finished with what this virus can do—take care of yourself, your family, and those around you. JCD remains a force within the dermatology and cosmetic industry for high-quality publications and clinical research from all over the globe. For this, we are truly grateful for your trust in our journal and in us. We will continue to publish the highest quality articles including review articles that span the gamut of cosmetic dermatology. We are equally as proud of our COVID coverage—which is featured in each issue of JCD and in a separate folder on the JCD home page—which contains all the articles related to COVID-19 that have been published by JCD—and thank you to all who have contributed to this. We hope you enjoy this issue of the JCD—and please keep the good work coming our way—as we strive to have the most ever submissions in 2022.
