Abstract

Three new jatrophane polyesters, Euphopepluanones M-O (1–3), along with eight known ones (4-11), were isolated from the leaves of Euphorbia peplus Linn. Their chemical structures were established based on extensive spectroscopic analysis. The absolute configurations of compound 1 were assigned by X-ray crystallographic analysis. In addition, their anti-inflammatory effects on lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW264.7 macrophages were evaluated in vitro. Among them, 2 and 7 exhibited significant anti-inflammatory activity.
