Abstract

To provide a better understanding of Japanese Americans, a historical and contemporary overview of three generations of Japanese Americans is presented. This is followed by a recommendation for a more general approach to pluralistic education. It is hoped that such information will be useful to educators in their planning and implementation of educational strategies which will assist students of all ethnic backgrounds to live harmonious and productive lives.
