Japanese accent measurement system for training foreign students

Abstract

A large number of foreign students come to Japanese universities recently, where Japanese reading and pronunciation are problems for the foreign students. In this study, we propose a new Japanese training system for foreign students. First, we analyze Japanese accents of foreign students. Second, we compare the accents of foreign students and the accents of Japanese standards. Finally, we develop an accent training system for foreign students by visualizing the difference of the accents.
