Abstract

Abstract Japan's dominant economic power in Southeast Asia has played a vital role in the economic integration of the region. The paper analyses some of the more important aspects of Japanese economic power in Southeast Asia and its geopolitical implications. There is a close relationship between Japan's new economic power and its increasing involvement in the domestic and regional politics of Southeast Asia.
