Abstract

Seasonal feeding habits of wild boar living in a marsh ecosystem-the Camergue, have been investigated by means of both stomach contents analysis and seasonal observations of rooted sites. Analysis of 149 stomach contents, collected during the autumn and winter seasons from 1979-78 through 1982-83, has revelated that wild boars consume a relatively high proportion of animal matter, mainly composed of Vertebrates remains.
