Abstract
Jadeite+quartz rocks are newly found in the Kanto Mountains, central Japan. It is associated with ultramafic rocks which are in fault contact with the Tertiary Tochiya Formation. Two metamorphic stages are recorded in the rock: the high pressure jadeite+quartz stage and the medium pressure albite+aegirine-augite stage.
