Abstract
Accurate prediction of external heat transfer around a turbine is important for high efficiency gas turbine development. Experimental study and LES analysis study were performed to investigate the heat transfer characteristic around 2 type turbine blades. Boundary layer transition phenomenon and heat transfer characteristic were well predicted by LES analysis. But accuracy of quantitative heat transfer predict was depend on the velocity distribution around turbine blade.
