Abstract

Finned tube that is used to the heat exchanger sometimes induced the air resonance phenomenon to avoid it, the fin pitch is varied to be wide. We analyzed the flow around the finned tube with various fin pitches by the simulation. It is learned Karman vortices one generated behind the finned tube and makes the aeolian tone large. The wake vortices are generated at the same time in large span region at the narrow fin-spacing. The wake width become large at the narrow fin tube, the influence of fin pitch to an aeolian tone and the unsteady flow characteristic.
