Abstract

The purpose of this study was the improvement of the sensitivity in an electret condenser microphone with film lamination (FiImECM) using agglomerates spacer. The agglomerates (Silica or Boron Nitride) were inserted between films in the gap of FiImECM. The average sensitivity ,6 was enhanced by the agglomerates. The silica agglomerates were more effective to enhance ,8 than the BN agglomerates. Increasing g resulted the decrease in the resonance frequency (f.), as predicted by an analytical model. The experimental data off. was in good agreement with the estimated data from This result indicated that the intensity of electric field in the gap would not be degraded if the agglomerates were inserted in the gap of the FiImECM.
