Abstract

The ALICE experiment at the LHC has studied J/ψ polarization in pp collisions at = 7 TeV, measuring the anisotropies in the angular distribution of the muons coming from J/ψ decay. The study was performed in the forward rapidity region (2.5 < y < 4), differentially in transverse momentum. In this work, the analysis is reviewed and the results are presented and compared to new theoretical predictions. Perspectives for the polarization measurement in Pb-Pb collisions are also discussed.
