Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we discuss the dynamics of intramolecular vibrational‐energy redistribution (IVR) in two limits: the coherent and incoherent limits. These descriptions are introduced to account for experiments done in time and frequency domains. We present a more general model for IVR, namely the model of overlapping resonances, which describes coherence (quantum beats), congestion and nonexponentional decays.
