Abstract

Professor of the Department of Forensic Medicine at Pirogov Russian State Medical University, Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor Ivan Vladimirovich Buromsky was born in Moscow in a family of employees. After completing secondary school with the silver medal, he continued his studies at the therapeutic department of the 2nd Moscow Order of Lenin Pirogov State Medical Institute (now N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University), graduating with honors in 1975. All his professional activities of I.V. Buromsky are connected with the department of forensic medicine of the therapeutic faculty of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. After completing his postgraduate studies under the supervision of Prof. V. M. Smolyaninov, he defended his PhD thesis on "The dynamics of nucleic acid decay as a criterion for forensic medical determination of the time of death" and went on from assistant (1980) to professor at the Forensic Medicine Department of the Medical Faculty (2007).
