Abstract

Each production area can be viewed through the prism of the technology used. In printing, it is the way in which materials are processed to deliver a product. Its characteristics depend on machines and equipment, used materials, processing methods and implementation conditions. The printing industry can be defined as a production field that includes "the development and reproduction of products for the mass consumer needs." Through the processes of prepress preparation, production of printing forms, printing, as well as binding and finishing processes of obtaining a finished publication. The issue about ensuring the highest possible quality of printing products is not new. Nowadays, many attempts have been made to solve it by creating various systems to support the process of product quality control. Some of them are simple applications, and some are complex systems supporting various printing processes. There are also integrated management systems that allow you to manage the entire printing company at different levels of activity in accordance with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) standards. Standards and norms that support the functioning of a printing company have also been developed.
