Abstract
A new year has started with the new 2015 volume of Research in Engineering Design. In 2014 we had a record high of close to 180 new submissions from diverse areas. The management of the review process would not have been possible without the contribution of the dedicated editorial board and the many reviewers. I would like to thank two area editors who served the journal and in this way the community for several years of contribution and effort: Petra Badke-Schaub and George Q. Huang. I would like to welcome Dan Frey as the new area editor for Research Methodology and two new members of the editorial board: Gaetano Cascini and Johan Malmqvist and wish them fruitful and enjoyable service. My final thanks with deep gratitude go to the numerous reviewers who contributed their effort to maintain and improve the journal.
