Abstract

The multi-pole source-sink problem has been solved by iterative calculation using an electronic computer. A general equation for the multi-pole source-sink problem is formulated and a clear definition of γ(j) m 's is given. Then the dipole problem is solved by iterative method, in which the neutron flux around each element is calculated at fictitious points surrounding the element, and the dipole sink strength is correlated to the harmonic component of the neutron flux distribution. A brief description of the computer code and the results of trial calculation are given.
