Abstract

A novel approach of Doppler spectrum reconstruction based on iterative adaptive algorithm (IAA) for Multi-Input Multi-Output Synthetic Aperture Radar (MIMO SAR) is proposed. Firstly, the mathematical representation of the ambiguous Doppler spectrum is established, and the relationships of the Doppler signals among different transmit-receive pairs are derived. Based on the derivation aforementioned, a detailed procedure of the IAA for Doppler spectrum reconstruction is presented, and the fundamental explanation of the proposed algorithm is given based on the subspace theory. Lastly, the validity is demonstrated by numerical simulations.
