Abstract
One of the type of news stories usually prefaced with ‘And finally…’ caught my eye as this issue went to press. A 22-yearold woman from Wales, Louise Morris, was able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her 55-year-old father until paramedics arrived, thanks to watching a popular TV medical drama (BBC News Online, 2009).
