It's All About People: Australia's Tax and Superannuation Systems

Abstract

Our aspiration is to work with the community to administer Australia's tax and superannuation systems, fairly and effectively. We do this by helping to create an environment that promotes high levels of voluntary compliance at minimum cost. Helping people understand their rights and obligations and making it as easy as possible for people to comply is our key strategy. We support taxpayers who are trying to do the right thing but we also have a responsibility to apply the law to people who don't want to comply. This in itself supports the community and promotes a more level playing field.
