Abstract

Background: The demand for organs for liver transplantation (LT) in the United States far surpasses the availability of usable organs. New allocation schemes have resulted in difficulties with allograft placement due to logistical issues, and intra-operative turndowns can lead to expedited placement of these organs. Outcomes related to safety of using expedited organs have not been described previously.
