Abstract

The implementation of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System (QAS) in each University varies depending on the vision, mission, and culture of the organization. Its implementation covers various fields of higher education such as curriculum, learning, academic atmosphere, student affairs, human resources, research, and community service. Various fields of higher education have not put information technology as a supporting tool. The application of information technology has an important role as a tool in obtaining such data accurately and quickly. The implementation of the Quality Assurance System in Higher Education has not entirely utilized Information Technology as a supporting tool. Therefore requires a model that can be the basis for utilizing information technology in the Quality Assurance System at Higher Education so that its application can be more effective and accurate. The stages in model building are starting from analyzing the Quality Assurance System, aspects related to the Quality Assurance System, Application of information technology in the Quality Assurance System. Based on the results of the analysis factors will be identified, which will be components or constructs in the model. The next stage is the development of a model of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System by involving information technology as a supporting tool. This research has succeeded in building a model of the High Education Quality Assurance System that illustrates the main factors and supporting factors in the implementation of the High Education Quality Assurance System. The resulting model consists of four main constructs, namely the quality assurance system of higher education, organizational culture, information technology, and people.
